'distance' is a tricky thing. We often find ourselves 'alone together' even in the biggest megalopolis sprawl. We have all the distance we want. We often feel it difficult to connect to our lovers and spouses...friends....even if and when we are 'in them' or 'into them'. Often our exchanges involve the currency of the commodity to such an extent that...as evidenced by speed dating exercises...our time/space application of entering the bar becomes a commodity portal itself reflecting back to the commodity snapshot of our selves. It is a book that looks at the ways we have changed in our expression and storytelling because of the new means of communication.
