This is a re-structured and re-paginated edition of the 1998 translation (and expansion) of the Roman Missal produced by ICEL, approved by all the English-speaking BishopsÕ Conferences and then rejected by Rome. The original was in two volumes, Volume 1 dealing with Sundays and Volume 2 with weekdays. There was a lot of overlap between the two volumes. Since printing imposes an 800 page limit on any volume, it was necessary to re-structure the Sacramentary. This edition has Volume I covering the Proper of the Seasons and Volume II everything else. These volumes provide a valuable source of material and would be of interest to a student of contemporary and comparative liturgy. In their current format they could be used as Altar Missals by any presbyter or ecclesial community that wished to be slightly adventurous in their liturgy. All that they lack is a set of ribbons (which are easy to make) and possibly tabs for the Eucharistic Prayers (again easy to make).
