This project proposes a different trajectory for tech startup offices by retrofitting a blank, sad, and strangling 5 story office building in downtown Palo Alto. The building is currently housing the Palo Alto Planning Department, a few tech start up companies, and has several floors sitting empty waiting for lease.
The primary strategy to reinvigorate this office building and consequently augment the public life of downtown Palo Alto is to expressively bring the mild and favorable Bay Area climate into the heart and mind of the office.
