My interest in home-cooking largely started when I was at university, where admittedly, my chance in life to ÔexperimentÕ was mostly spent in my student kitchen learning how to cook. I met my boyfriend when I moved in to a shared-student house full of 5 males in my second year, and so at least had a hungry and willing audience to trial my food on. For every Christmas and birthday since then, I have been presented with the latest celebrity chef cook book. And, I donÕt know about you, but only 1 or 2 recipes from each book actually ever make it into my cooking repoitoire. And so, I present my first recipe book to you as my lifeÕs cooking repertoire...so far. The recipes in this book are therefore not all my own, and IÕd like to thank Nigella, Gordon, Lorraine, Jamie and the rest of them for showing me the way.
