A Christmas To Remember celebrates life and the human spirit. The location and its lively menagerie of characters were inspired and created from some of my childhood experiences and family stories told to me by my father and grandparents about Òthe good old days,Ó when the world was kinderÉ when girls wore dresses and boys donned hatsÉ when times were unsettling yet delightful.
My father Daniel J. Harty was born in Barre, Massachusetts on February 26, 1929 an outdoor enthusiast who enjoyed fishing and trapping and was passionate about saving our environment. During one of my visits in 1999 we drove and meandered around his memory lanes of Barre. He stated, ÒNothing has changed much from my childhood memories; with the exception of paved roads.Ó
