This work is collection of earthquake risks in Afghanistan and also discusses the vulnerability factors of common-type buildings in Afghanistan. Various types of structures have been evaluated both numerically and experimentally using shaking table and photo-elasticity methods. Change in type of construction of residential buildings have been proposed for earthquake prone areas in Afghanistan and countries with similar earthquake risks.
