L. Frank Baum's first written fantasy novel. It remained unpublished until he had some success with other fantasy books such as Father Goose: His Book. A New Wonderland was re released with two additional introductory paragraphs in the first chapter, plus some minor capitalization changes, as The Magical Monarch of Mo, which remained in print until the 1940s. This is the first reprint of the original text with all of Frank Ver Beck's illustrations.
