Will Hastings is your typical twenty-two year old. He just graduated college and has no idea what he's doing with his life. After the incident that happened at college that has marked him as a social pariah in his town, Will feels lost and isn't sure how to navigate life moving forward. That is, until he runs into Ford Chadwick, the literal girl of his dreams and his high school crush.
Ford brings out a side in Will that he didn't even know existed. She's everything that he isn't. While he's anxious, she's outgoing. While he tends to steer away from the limelight, she's the center of attention.
Their relationship is unlikely and the two of them are tested as Will tries to gain control over his anxiety and depression. Though Will often battles the dark thoughts in his head with comedy and sarcasm, he starts to realize he may actually need help.
