At a time in life when Duke, my husband of four years, Cindy, my sister, and I, could sit back, relax and enjoy the fruits of our labors, quite remarkably we found ourselves bound for the great beyond and two different African countries; Kenya and Uganda.
The resultant book details our joys, our wonder, our delight in the range and scope of the herds of free roaming animals, our tearful goodbyes, and lost chances reborn.
Africa opened before us in so many magical ways; human and animal adventures abounded from start to finish. Our stay was breathtaking and so far from what we originally imagined that the only way we could hope to retain all the glorious moments we lived, was to create this book.
We are a mix of our past and present, and the sum of our experiences ultimately colors all our perceptions. While Africa will always present herself differently to each person, this is a marvelously joyful tale of our wondrous adventures...this is our Africa.
