The year 2006 was an especially prolific one for As Sahab, the media production department of Al Qaeda. During the course of the year, they released six messages from Osama Bin Laden, 17 messages from Al Qaeda second-in-command Dr. Ayman al Zawahiri, one from Azzam the American, and a number from various lesser known Al Qaeda personalities or videos of operations in Afghanistan.
