The main focus of this book is Alexander Neal (1837-1912) from Wabash Twp., Darke County, Ohio, his wife Rebecca Skinner, their children and grandchildren. The authors are second cousins and share Alexander as our most recent common ancestor.
We are fortunate that our Neal ancestors were prominent Quakers who maintained extensive records. With little doubt, we can prove a direct line from William Neal (1740-1822) and Rachel Leonard (1745-1823), through Henry Neal (1774-1824) and Rachel Iddings (1776-1802), down through William Neal (1802-1860) and Mary Brown (1799-1870), who were the parents of our Alexander Neal.
