"Aesop may not have written down any fables but does it change their quality? Nor would it matter the lowly station of Aesop in life. As a slave he would have been bound to a place and to a few men for the sake of necessity. But man is more than time and place. Collective experience is like DNA passing through generations and this is a patrimony of every man. A clump of thistles are stuck to its place but they however propagate their essentials for future by wind and cattle. We shall appreciate we have some sample of his inner worth in the timeless fables passed through by word of mouth. The author in the present work is attempting to imitate and not take his place. Almost Aesop shall we say?
