Along a Path in Mississippi is the story of an adventure-seeking girl growing up in rural Mississippi in the mid-1900s. Upon going blind at a formative age, Yvonne seeks to understand her world and new life - one away from her family in the big city at the Mississippi School for the Blind. She enjoys her time learning at school and playing with her best friend Dolly, but Yvonne always longs to be with her family back in Water Valley. Admist her adventures, Yvonne is faced with tragedy and loss; but, she continually adapts as she faces not only her fears, but also her dreams.
