This opened up a\u003cbr\u003e\nwhole new direction for the comic as Alley Oop traveled to Camelot, Ancient Egypt, Sherwood\u003cbr\u003e\nForest and even the old west of America. Alley Oop was full of laughs, action, adventure and even\u003cbr\u003e\nscience fiction. The strip has stood the test of time and continues to be excellent reading fare today.\u003cbr\u003e\nThe Alley Oop series is primarily known for its history in comic strips, but there were some comic\u003cbr\u003e\nbooks based on the characters as well. Unfortunately not a lot of them are in the public domain and\u003cbr\u003e\nlocating decent scans of the ones that are is a challenge.
