This is a transcription of a unique volume, a hand-written gift to a friend whom the anonymous author clearly valued very highly. It was written in the year Queen Victoria came to the throne and the very year that the ruined Sudeley Castle was bought by John and William Dent, so it gives a different picture of Winchcombe from the town we know today.
