Crime is an unavoidable reality of our society, finding ways to effectively deal with this issue has been up for debate since the beginning of our nation. Criminality is something that needs to be successfully addressed in order for offenders to have an alternative to crime to support their daily existence. Within this dissertation, there will be an investigation into the rate of recidivism as it pertains to the State of Oklahoma and how vocational/occupational education help reduce those rates when applied into the prison environment.
