The majority of the world recites the Qur'an in the Riwayah of Hafs 'an Asim via the Tariq of the Shatibiyyah. However, there are many other Turuq for Hafs other than the Shatibiyyah, which have slight variations in the tajweed rules that are applied.
This unique book is the first of its kind in the English language to comprehensively cover the rules of recitation for all the 52 Turuq of Hafs as selected by Imam Ibn al-Jazari, as well as a further 5 Turuq which were authenticated by later scholars.
