Although titled ÒAn IntroductionÉÓ, this book might be more suitable for one with a little experience with the Latin language. From the preface- ÒThose who intend to use this book should possess at the least a knowledge of the conjugations of Latin verbs and the declensions of Latin nouns such as may be got from any primer.Ó The whole first half of the book is basically a grammar study using passages from the Vulgate Bible. The second half is a study of texts taken from selections of various Ecclesiastical writers like Perpetua, Cyprian, Ambrose, Jerome, Augustine, Bede, Kempis, and many more.
