When I first started investigating NancyÕs ancestors, she simply asked me if I could find out any information about her paternal grandfather, Ike Parker. Other than his untimely death prior to 1920, she knew very little else.
I soon discovered a total lack of information was available for this individual in my usual sources. This lack of success spurred me to investigate deeper.
What I found was a vast trove of family information about all of NancyÕs ancestors but still very little on the elusive Parkers.
But perseverance paid off and I was able to get back one generation further of her Great-grandfather Madison Henry Parker, born in Tennessee around 1827.
The Parker information, together with al of other family information, provided a panoramic view of the British immigration to the United States, both in the Colonial and post-colonial periods.
This labor of love for a dear friend has resulted in this manuscript. My hope is for her family and friends to enjoy it!
