This book is about the generations that arrived before me yet have long since faded away, their homes are no longer there, the land they cherished and toiled upon has changed hands many times or perhaps simply abandoned. The treasures and trinkets they prized and displayed so proudly were passed along to others, fought over, or easily forgotten. Entire generations passed away and carried all their memories with them. They spent their short time in Lee County Virginia, watched the clouds float by, fretted over occurrences that no longer matter, they were busy living a life. Then each moved on to make room for another generation. I felt the need to at the least, acknowledge their existence. They lived for a time on this spinning blue ball in space, and I penned this ancestry book so they are not completely forgotten, and all that they were would not be lost.
