These stories are meant to amuse my readers, to tell of adventures I was grateful (and sometimes ungrateful) to have had as a geologist, a CEO, friend and family man.
Over the almost 87-year span of my life so far, many major changes have taken place in social issues, economics, international issues, and other factors that affect human lives. Such changes as the fourfold increase in world population; China becoming the worldÕs second largest economy; social media causing a large reduction in previous methods of interpersonal communication; and an almost perfect correlation between any nationÕs gross domestic product and its energy consumption. These changes are meant to be a backdrop for my observations on events and lives that I share with you in my Anecdotes from a Long Life.
