Any design project, either large or small involves a number of elements that need to be coordinated for the project to succeed. If they don't rectify the conflicts early in the design process then the project is likely to flop or in a somewhat crass way, generations may be required to overcome the failures. In the case of small projects, such as a single house. The problem tends to be the easier to resolve, although, the solution may remain unsatisfactory.
