In the preface to Take ll I wrote: ÒA third book? No, I donÕt think soÓ.
ÒNeverthelessÓ, I continued, ÒIÕll keep on writing until the well does indeed run dry, be that next month, next year , or wheneverÓ.
Apparently the well was deeper than I thought, so here we go againÉÓone more time, for the good timesÓ as the lyrics of a once popular song implored.
ThereÕs always the danger of going to the well once too often. Hopefully this is not that time.
