In the early decades of the twentieth century the small town of Manat’ was labeled as the "Atenas de Puerto Rico" (the Athens of Puerto Rico), due to its rich cultural and artistic life. Through a series of antique and vintage images,this book provides a visual overview of the social, historical, economic and cultural development that made Manat’ famous during that period. It includes photographs, antique postcards, and images of vintage publications of the period.
