Backlash is a short story divided into five chapters. When Jason mercilessly beats Sean Denton for raping a fifteen-year-old girl, he fears that he has accidentally killed Sean. On the run from the law, Jason runs to his ex-girlfriend, hoping that she will provide him assistance.
