BARON WIERWULF'S HAUNTED LIBRARY began with issue #21, picking up the numbering
from the Charlton series HAUNTED. BARON WIERWULF'S HAUNTED LIBRARY continued
the myriad pantheon of Charlton horror titles that appeared in the 1970s, Readers are
treated to all the trepidation and fear, but none of the gore that was rampant in the
horror comics of the fifties. BARON WIERWULF'S HAUNTED LIBRARY is also a treasure
trove of artwork by Charlton champions Steve Ditko, Pete Morisi, Nicola Cuti, Joe Staton,
Mike Zeck and Pat Boyette, with many of the scripts written by Joe Gill.
BARON WIERWULF'S HAUNTED LIBRARY began interspersing reprint stories in the series
with issue #35. There was sporatically some new content, but as the title continued, the
new material fell to the wayside. To satisfy the complationist in all of us, the few new stories
and all of the covers through the titles end, with issue #75 are included.
