This book contains an approximately exact transcription of the county court orders of Bedford County, Virginia during the Revolution. In addition to items of genealogical interest, these orders record actions taken by the county court in response to events of the Revolution, such as payments to widows and wives of soldiers, reimbursement to individuals for supplies furnished to American military forces, and the prosecution of cases against individuals suspected of loyalist activities.
