Our family has owned and spent holidays for the last 50 years in a tiny house in Bernardi, in the High Po Valley, Piedmont, Italy. We converted it from a barn year by year, and we were all welcomed and assimilated into the Italian mountain life of subsistence farmers. We owe the people of this village a huge debt of gratitude.
