This is a compilation of 62 Scientific and Technical photographs for visualization of phenomena related to physics and chemistry that are generally invisible to the naked eye. This may be due to the fact the events are short lived, exist in an invisible part of the spectrum, hardly affect the environment or demonstrate unusual or hard to comprehend behavior. Included are infrared, ultraviolet, microsecond duration, extended duration, streak and stroboscopic, schlieren, shadowgraph, ballistic, interference, polarization and other applications of technical and scientific photography. Brief captions are included with the photographs.
This is the second edition of this collection and it includes almost twice the number of photographs as the earlier one but due to reformatting the book it contains more pictures for a lower cost per book. In short, better value!
