In 2009, two twenty year olds from the Mathare slum in Kenya gathered on a crowded street over looking the slum to discuss forming a movement to change the way the Mathare slum was viewed. Four years later, Billian Okoth and Jeffrey Andre are still together making the world look at Mathare differently. Bound by loyalty to the people of Mathare, passionate idealism, and a relentless belief in the power of music to change lives, Billian and Jeff set off on an epic journey to make the Billian Music Family into a success story of the Mathtare slum.
