When his family was killed in an early bombing raid in Poland, Blackhawk
dedicated his life to destroying fascism and everything it stands for. Blackhawk
and his crew fought in World War Two, and when the war ended, they became
soldiers of fortune and adventure, traveling the world wherever the need and the
lure took them. Many stories featured the artwork of masters of the day such as
Reed Crandall, Bill Ward and Jack Cole. It is still an immensely popular comic
today!
