Blimpy was an Òancient Oriental BuddhaÓ statue brought to life when Tabby Tyler decided to disprove
an ancient myth. When Tabby spoke the magic words, ÒOggle doggle woggle ibbidy bibbidy sibbidy sab,
dictionary down the ferry, out goes ipso facto with the floy-floy!Ó the statue came to life! Blimpy was
prone to mischief, and it took all of TabbyÕs energy to keep Blimpy in check. Blimpy was possessed of
amazing supernatural abilities, but his adventures were played for laughs. Watch as Blimpy takes on
pirates, penguins, playing cards, and even parrots in this collections of his wacky adventures.
Blimpy appeared in QualityÕs Feature Comics from issue #64 to 133.
This book was compiled with the best images currently available. That stated, these comics are seventy
years old. The best efforts have been made to make the pages as enjoyable as possible but not every
panel is perfect and some allowances for the age of the books need to be considered when judging the
overall contents. The stories here were created in a less enlightened time and there are some images
that may offend modern readers.
