Borderfolks is a collection of vignettes written by twenty-six fifth grade students. Each chapter represents a different perspective of someone connected to Border Field State Park - historically or currently. We read Paul FleischmanÕs books, Seedfolks and Bull Run, as inspiration for our writing.
We hope you are inspired by our book to learn more about the U.S./ Mexico border region, especially Border Field State Park. It is a beautiful, complex, diverse region that faces environmental, political and social problems. We hope you will get involved with us to become part of the solution.
