bot.ga is the combination of robots and Lady Gaga. The composer has analyzed and mapped out the form, including dynamics, texture, and line contour of Gaga's "Bad Romance". She then composed new melodies and harmonies using a structure identical to the piece examined. One could imagine a robot of much different melodic sensibilities and musical priorities transcribing "Bad Romance" and it turning out something like this piece. Extended techniques like note clusters, rhythmic glissandi, and dead slaps give bot.ga a distinct robotic quality.
