After buying an 18th Century Cottage and discovering a family connection. We were inspired to research the history of this ancient settlement Broughton in North Lincolnshire at local archives.
We were also given numerous articles, photographs, and stories about social history, local families and events which we have compiled into this book to preserve this knowledge.

The Book contains 620 pages showing the development of the area from Neolithic times through too Modern, supported by 193 photographs, maps and illustrations.
Many local families are mentioned throughout, with a Surname index with over 900 distinct entries. Making this an excellent resource for family and local historians.
