Captain Jim Trammell was a self-made man. During WWII he joined the Army Air Corps and eventually found himself at Eglin Field, FL. After marrying the daughter of one of Destin, Florida's prominent founding families he became one of Destin's early charter boat captains when "fishing for hire" was a new phenomenon. This is his story, his tales, of growing up in Texas and how he became a Destin fishing legend.
