Caswell County was formed from the northern part of Orange County (1777). Person was divided out of Caswell (1791). This book combines both counties. Caswell has older records, although not a lot. Yet, Person County only contains two mill's and they are both law suits. However, the second law suit is full of drawings and historical notes and descriptions about the Colthran Mill.
