In an exciting collaboration taking place in summer 2013, the Craft Potters Association and four galleries celebrate the rich diversity of contemporary ceramics. The galleries hold simultaneous exhibitions, each showing a different group of makers selected by the gallery as an illustration of Ceramics Now.
The inspiration for this collaboration comes from a shared concern to promote the important relationship between makers, audience and galleries and the need to develop an understanding that the gallery has a key role in educating a wide audience about this diverse art form as well as promoting and selling the work of the makers they represent.
The galleries involved are the New Ashgate Gallery, Farnham - 11 May - 22 June; Bevere Gallery, Worcester - 1 June to 29 June; the Bluecoat Display Centre, Liverpool - 1 June to 20 July and the Contemporary Ceramics Centre, London - 6 June to 29 June 2013.
