The aim of this research study is to 1) measure the prevalence of food insecurity among Meredith College students; 2) identify coping strategies; and 3) identify behaviors associated with increased risk for food insecurity. The desired outcome of this project is to better understand barriers to nutritious food access and design interventions accordingly, with the hope that improved food access will bring increased student health, academic success, student involvement, and a more positive campus environment.
