This comedy play is set in a village in Sussex in 1988 - meet a rather queer bunch of friendly folk: An eccentric elderly couple share their open house with a bearded lady who is obsessed with purple bananas, the woman with millions of children and an old girl from up north who tells it as it is!
The friends are forced to adapt to a sudden mix of cultures when their new neighbour arrives and takes over the village tea shop.
The mysterious Indian lady becomes attached to the village cream tea way of life very quickly and decides to campaign to save it from her children, who wish to turn the much loved tea shop into a convenience store.
Join this squiffy lot on a whacky adventure to save the cakes with the help of a dodgy grandson and his even dodgier grandma!
Growing old has never been so much fun!
