Dr. Paul and Esther Embree have spent their lives in service to the Lord. The two Chikombedzi books tell of their more "colorful" years as they raised three children and Paul practiced medicine at the remote and primitive Chikombedzi Mission Hospital in the bush of Rhodesia (now called Zimbabwe).
"Chikombedzi I: a missionary wife writes home" is the story of their first term of missionary service from 1955 to 1961. It includes medical adventures, elephant chases, and a deep faith that brought joy in the midst of a very challenging life.
