These words start my memoirs, such as they are, which have been written whenever I could find a peaceful momentÑand later with the encouragement and help from my daughterÑcompleted in 2007. I havenÕt had a very exciting or memorable life so far, but maybe some day someone will find these hastily-written stories interesting. They are certainly intended only for my family.
