Codename Prospect follows the struggle to confront the consequences of a wartime intelligence project more secret than the efforts to break the Enigma code. The Prospect system was built in 1940 to generate images for military intelligence; any picture that could be photographed could be generated. The patterns already existed and could be found allowing the Allies to decide which should be real and which should not. Prospect was the ultimate surveillance system; there was nowhere to hide and there was no defense against it.
