In this book, the stories written by 39 Asian American children cover a wide variety of topics that reflect a full spectrum of Chinese culture. Just to name a few here: magic heated bed from the Northeast part of China; Chinese legendary characters such as the Monkey King, Eight Precepts Pig (Monk Pig), Ne Zha; Chinese art such as Face Changing, Paper Cutting; traditional sports such as Cu Ju and Yoyo; holidays such as the Double Ninth Festival, Nadamu, Water Sprinkling Festival; great inventions, all-star athlete, the Chinese language, as well as many traditional Chinese food and snacks. These stories contribute to the children's literature field in the US as they provide opportunities for young readers in the US to expand their knowledge about the cultural heritage of Chinese Americans. In addition, these stories also serve as a mirror for Chinese American children to see themselves in books. These young authors are passionate to promote Chinese culture and this book is their contribution to the world.
