It was a great time to make fun of everything in the world. During the 1950s the world (except for the threat of nuclear annihilation and Godzilla) was a pretty carefree place, and so parody was a great way to let loose. Today it's harder to make fun of the world because the world is already so outrageous that today's parody is tomorrow's reality ---- so let's enjoy the innocent humor of the past in all it ridiculousness! NUTS billed itself as ÒThe Crazy MAD Comic,Ó which suggests a little innocent imitation of an idea. Most of the stories and art are unattributed, but that doesn't take away from their mastery:
