The Server+ exam is computer based Ð no need for paper and pencil at all. It has multiple choice questions only. It aims to measure foundation level server skills and knowledge.
Although you donÕt have to be A+ certified in order to go for Server+, knowledge covered by the A+ certification is essential. After all, we are dealing with PC-like X86 based servers here.
For Linux+, there are TWO 60-questions-exams. LX0-101 covers topics such as system architecture; Linux Installation and package management; GNU and Unix commands; devices, Linux filesystems, and filesystem hierarchy standard; while LX0-102 covers topics on shells, scripting and data management; user interfaces and desktops; administrative tasks; essential system services; networking fundamentals; and security. The target candidate job roles are more or less at the junior level. This book primarily covers LX0-101.
