Twenty-five-year-olds, Catherine Moore and Dan Archer, have been friends since they were little. Growing up in Florida, they were inseparable. They dealt with the same schools, the same bullies, and the same type of over-protective parents.

After they graduated, Dan and Catherine moved back to the city that Dan was born in, London. Their friendship was golden. While living in London, Dan persuaded his dream of being an author and Catherine became a lawyer. Life was good.
But all that changed when Catherine got a boyfriend. Then came her new job. So when New York was screaming her name, Catherine said her goodbyes and left the struggling author Dan broken-hearted.
Now Dan is forced to do everything himself without a shoulder to lean on. He tries to write a book, tries to ignore his feelings for Catherine, and tries to survive off his low-paying part-time job, while dealing with his workmates who get under his skinÑconstantly. Except, that is, for Evie.
