Cosmopolis is the name of an electronic magazine that supported the realization of the international editorial project "Vance Integral Edition" (VIE) created in 2000 in the United States by Paul Rhoads. The project was completed in 2006 with the edition of the whole literary work of Jack Vance in 44 volumes.
This digital magazine was initiated in 2000 by Bob Lacovara (executive director). It was available on the VIE website in PDF format or printed on demand.
The magazine is made up of articles about the technical aspect of the project, about the people (all volunteers) involved, as well as essays on Jack Vance's work, or articles about more general topics related to the project, as well as an extensive "fan & reader letters".
The name of the magazine originates from the "Demon Princes" series, in which the hero, Kirth Gersen, in order to serve his revenge interests, acquired "Cosmopolis", the most prestigious newspaper in the Oecumene (the assembly of "civilized" worlds in the galaxy).

This volume presents 137 articles chosen among the 63 issues of the magazine from 2000 to 2004. The selection of the articles was made according to their interest or their quality, avoiding too technical internal aspects - 648 pages -
