The Criminal Case Management Framework is a step by step guide for participants in the criminal justice process, setting out best practice in case management so that cases are prepared and conducted appropriately, in accordance with the Criminal Procedure Rules and brought to a conclusion efficiently and with the minimum of delay. This part of the framework, the third edition, deals with the entire process from before charge through to conclusion in the magistratesÕ courts. The second part of the framework, dealing with the Crown Court, is due to be published later.
