When I turned 21, I was diagnosed with diabetes. This book is an autobiographical account of my story. My hope is that it may help other young diabetics in understanding and coping with the disease. D21 takes the reader on a journey from diagnosis and hospitalization to adaptation and healthy living. I have provided various details, including symptoms, the ins-and-outs of insulin injection, as well as my emotional reactions throughout. The book is an easy read, written in direct and simple language.
